Road to Ayrburn is an exclusive six-night driving tour from Auckland to Queenstown, culminating at the Ayrburn Classic. With just 15 cars, the route features spectacular roads, premium accommodation, and unforgettable driving experiences.
The Route
Day 1: Fri 12 February
Welcome brunch at Bravo, Cracker Bay, followed by a relaxed drive down to Taupō on excellent back roads.

Day 2: Sat 13 Feb
We’ll drive from Taupo to Wellington via the Desert Road, one of the most spectacular stretches on the North Island.

Day 3: Sun 14 Feb
An early ferry crossing takes us to the South Island, with a short drive to Kaikoura. This day is kept light to allow for flexibility in our schedule.

Day 4: Mon 15 Feb
A stunning drive through Lewis Pass across to Greymouth, and down the West Coast to Franz Josef.

Day 5: Tue 16 Feb
One of the tour's highlights, this spectacular journey takes you through Haast Pass, past Lakes Hāwea and Wānaka, and into Queenstown, with stunning river crossings, bridges, and coastal scenery along the way. The day ends with a stay at the luxurious Rosewood Matakauri—the signature experience of the tour.
